Many times store-bought granola can be loaded with a lot of sugar and unnecessary ingredients. Here is a quick and easy granola that can be made with a variety of different ingredients. Granola can also be eaten with many different foods such as a topping on oatmeal, with yogurt, eat it as cereal. The list goes on and on!
Ingredients
3 cups rolled oats
1/2 cup unsweetened shredded coconut
1/2 cup blanched almonds
1 cup pecans
1/4 cup sesame seeds
1/2 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup honey
1/3 cup avocado oil
Heat oven to 325 degrees. Adjust oven rack to the center of the oven. Mix the first 6 ingredients together in a large bowl.
Heat maple syrup and oil in a small saucepan until warm. Pour over the dry ingredients and stir until well combined and coated. Lay mixture evenly on a cookie sheet.
Bake for 15 minutes total but stir every 5 minutes. Make sure to spread the granola evenly after every stir. After 15 minutes, granola should be nice and golden brown. Set pan on a wire rack to cool. Store in an airtight container.
